Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 11, 2026
Smart Stone Countertops, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) fabricates and installs granite, marble, and quartz countertops in Gainesville, Florida and the surrounding area. This policy explains what information we collect through https://www.smartstonecountertops.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
We keep this simple on purpose. We are a countertop shop, not a data company. We collect what we need to quote your project and get in touch with you, and nothing beyond that.
Information you give us
Through our contact form. When you request a quote, we ask for your name, email address, and phone number. You tell us what kind of project you have in mind, and you can add comments or notes. You may also upload up to three sketches or photos of your space.
By phone, text, or email. If you call, text, or write to us, we have whatever you choose to tell us, including any details about your home, your project, or your budget.
In person. If you visit the shop, we may write down contact and project details so we can follow up with a quote.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, Google Analytics records information such as which pages you viewed, how long you stayed, and roughly which region you are in. This is grouped and anonymous. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not connect it to anything you send us through the contact form.
Our Cookie Policy explains this in more detail, including which cookies are set and how to turn them off: https://www.smartstonecountertops.com/cookie-policy/
Like nearly all websites, our web host also keeps standard server logs that record things like the address of the device making a request and the time of the visit.
What we do with your information
We use what you give us to:
- Prepare and send you a quote
- Answer your questions and return your calls, texts, and emails
- Schedule templating, fabrication, and installation
- Order the materials your project requires
- Follow up about work we have done for you
- Keep records of the projects we have completed
We do not use your information for advertising or targeted marketing.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or share it with data brokers, advertisers, or marketing companies. We do not add you to mailing lists you did not ask for.
When we share information
We share your information only when it is necessary to do the work or run the business:
Companies that help us operate. Our website host stores our site and its data. Amazon Simple Email Service delivers the email our website sends, including the notification that reaches us when you submit the contact form. Our contact form runs on software that stores your submission so we can read it. These companies handle information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Suppliers and subcontractors. If your project requires it, we may share details such as your address, measurements, or material selection with a stone supplier, a plumber, or another trade working on your installation.
Google. Our website uses Google Analytics, an embedded Google Map on the Contact page, and Google reCAPTCHA on the contact form. Google’s own privacy policy governs the information it collects through those services: https://policies.google.com/privacy
When the law requires it. We will share information if we are legally required to, or if we need to in order to protect our rights, our property, or someone’s safety.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions. Quote requests sent through our website are deleted 14 days after they arrive. That window gives us time to read the request, respond, and move anything we need into our project records. Sketches and photos you upload are deleted on the same schedule.
Project records. Once we quote or complete a job, we keep the project file for up to seven years. Warranty questions, repair requests, and repeat work often come up years after an installation, and we need the record of what material went in and what we agreed to.
If you would like us to delete your information sooner, ask and we will, unless we are required to keep it for tax, warranty, or legal reasons.
Keeping your information secure
Our website uses an encrypted connection, and access to form submissions is limited to people who need it to do their jobs. No website or system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that information sent over the internet is completely safe from interception.
Please do not send us Social Security numbers, bank account details, or card numbers through the contact form. We do not ask for that information online and we do not need it to quote your project.
Payments
We do not accept payments through this website. Payment arrangements are handled directly with us, and payments sent by mail go to our mailing address listed below.
Your choices
You can:
- Ask what information we have about you
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your information
- Ask us to stop contacting you
- Turn off analytics cookies using the privacy button on our website
To make any of these requests, call us at (352) 519-5119 or write to the address below. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on a request about someone’s personal information.
Children
Our website is meant for adults arranging home improvement work. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Other websites
Our site links to other websites we do not control, including our Facebook page. This policy does not cover what those sites do with your information. We recommend reading the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business or our website changes. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
